Description

I will be conducting research and experimentation into creating novel sensory interfaces between myself and computer systems. The ideal goal is to maximize potential sensory input. Feed in extra sensory information to my brain about the world around me.


Haptic

This section will cover any ideas I come up with that use the sense of touch to provide input.

Haptic Compass Armband

An armband with eight or more haptic motors. It will increase the user's sense of the cardinal directions. A cybernetic-augment.

Sound

This section will cover any ideas I come up with that use the sense of sound to provide input.

Bone Conduction to transmit infomation

Using a bone conduction transducer to transmit sound waves through my skull directly into my inner ear. This will bypass the ear canal. This option has the capability of large amount of data transfer fast. Bypassing the ear canal will hopefully also mean it doesn't impair regular hearing.

Hand controller

A wearable device that attaches to the tips of fingers on a hand to provide a way for me to input data into the system and control things.
